" La isla del encanto"
( The enchanted island) is a small island in the Carribean. It has been a common wealth of the United State since 1898 after the Spanish lost the territory to the Unites States in the Spanish-American War . Puerto Ricans are the most unique out of the Hispanic world because they are American citizens. One would believe that being an American territory for over 100 years would have a strong impact on the Puerto Rican culture, and that Puerto Ricans would lose their traditonal beliefs. It is quite the contrary. Puerto Rico has an emensly rich culture. They have preserved the language, the food, the music, and the history. The island, that is smaller than the state of Connecticut, truely has a lot to offer. From beautiful white sand beaches to national rain forestes, Puerto Rico has some thing for everyone.
